Empirical prediction of blast-induced vibration on adjacent tunnels

The blast-induced vibration during excavation by the drilling and blasting method has an important impact on surrounding buildings/structures auxiliary equipment. In particular, with development of tunnel engineering, construction attracted extensive attention. Based literature data statistics, this paper first explored performance several commonly used empirical equations in predicting propagation attenuation characteristics adjacent tunnels. Secondly, relationships between parameters prediction equation geological strength index (GSI) rock were discussed, two new based site GSI established to approximately predict Finally, application feasibility practical engineering was discussed field test data. research results show that under condition multiple groups data, various models does not differ significantly.
